A pickleball court is 20 feet wide by 44 feet long (for both singles pickleball and doubles pickleball). The pickleball court is cut in half longways by a net that is 36 inches high on the ends by the net posts, and hangs a little shorter at 34 inches in the middle of the net.
On either side of the pickleball net is the Non-Volley Zone (also known as the “Kitchen”). The Non-Volley Zone or Kitchen extends 7 feet on each side of the pickleball net. The remaining 15 feet, from the Non-Volley Zone or Kitchen Line to the baseline makes up the service areas on the pickleball court. The service areas are divided by the middle line, and each service area is 10 feet wide (from the middle line to the sideline) and 15 feet long.
