Quick Tips Pickle4 Team 09-20-2024

When it comes to playing pickleball, there’s no concept of “my side” or “my partner’s side” of the court. While you and your partner are typically responsible for specific sides, the most effective strategy involves each of you taking shots where you can apply the most pressure to your opponents. This often means taking shots on each other’s sides for maximum impact. For instance, poaching, switching, and stacking can be particularly effective strategies in pickleball. These are strategies where you intentionally take your partner’s side of the pickleball court. Crossing the centerline and sharing the entire pickleball court can prove to make you a stronger team. In doubles pickleball, it’s common for one player to be targeted with most shots, prompting the other player to cross the centerline and relieve the pressure. By learning to share your “small space” with your partner, you can significantly strengthen your game.
